Palmetto Creek Watershed’s dam longer met NRSC or the Georgia Safe Dams Program performance criteria. Following significant urban development up and downstream, the Palmetto Creek dam was reclassified as a high-hazard dam. North Georgia Concrete was selected to rehabilitate the earthen embankment dam by constructing a reinforced concrete labyrinth weir on the existing embankment and an extension of the embankment across an auxiliary spillway.
